Direct Cremations

A Direct Cremation is a simple cremation process that takes place without a funeral service or ceremony. They provide a straightforward, no fuss cremation for those who prefer simplicity, or those who would like to keep their costs low.

What does a Direct Cremation include?

A Direct Cremation is the most simple cremation available.

• We transfer the deceased from their place of death* to our private chapel of rest.

• We make contact with a next of kin to allow necessary paperwork to be completed.

• We provide dignified and high quality care for the deceased until the cremation.

• A simple non veneered coffin is provided.

• A suitable vehicle provides transport of the deceased to the crematorium**.

• The family or loved ones will not be able to attend the cremation.

What happens after a Direct Cremation?

Following a Direct Cremation, the ashes of the deceased will be returned to the family to do with as they wish. We can also arrange for the ashes to be scattered or buried.

* Transfer of the deceased is within 25 miles of our premises, anything further than 25 miles may incur an extra fee.
